Recently I've been thinking about how I practice self-reflection.
Recently I've been thinking about how I practice self-reflection.
Here's why I think it's important for personal growth and peak performance.
I've been using self-reflection for over 25 years now. It's incredibly powerful. Sometimes the way my perspective changes is certainly transformational.
If you want to know how self-reflection has changed my performance, here are three big shifts:
β³ The habit of pausing before reacting.
π€ This has allowed me to respond thoughtfully. I do this in both personal and professional contexts.
β³ Keenness to get a deeper understanding of othersβ perspectives.
π₯ This has led to better creative collaborations.
β³ A shift from a problem to outcome mindset.
π± This enables me to see challenges as opportunities for growth.
Self-reflection has helped me achieve new levels of performance, so why should you care about it
π Here are some key benefits you might experience:
- Better mindset and state management for crucial collaborations.
- Clarity and reduced mental clutter leading to stress reduction.
- Handling your responses to unexpected changes.
- Connecting your daily activities with your long-term ambitions.
- Improved decision-making and evaluation of choice implications.
If you decide to start practicing self-reflection, let me know β I'd love to connect with you (and answer any questions you have getting started!).
