Want to establish credibility?

Want to establish credibility?
Stop making it about you."

How do I do that?
Surely I need a pitch deck.

One of my clients thought that.
Until recently when I challenged them.

My advice:

Clients want an insightful conversation.
Clients don’t want another PowerPoint.

Do that by making it about them.
Establish rapport then ask a question.

But not any old question - one that:

1/ Sets a context - establishing credibility using your clients’ experiences.
2/ Subtly leads the client into talking about themself. Their views. Their company.

A simple example.

“Over the past year, I’ve seen clients take three approaches to AI:

↳ some focused on differentiation with higher-value offers,
↳ others integrated AI for efficiency,
↳ and some waited to see.

What’s your company’s approach been?”

Ask something like this, and you’ll start a collaborative conversation.

The client won’t stay passive. You’ll have the opportunity to shine by adding and influencing the dialogue.

Balance giving information with asking for information.

No pitch.

Try this approach next time you have a meeting. Let me know how it works for you.
