Why I Killed the Lecture in My Consultative Sales Programs.

Why I Killed the Lecture in My Consultative Sales Programs
And What Happened Next

Most training is still stuck in the “listen, then leave” model.
The sage on the stage trainer - performing.
Delegates - listening passively.

I flipped the model.
Assign active pre-work.
Run interactive workshops.

All working on real-life situations.

Pre-work includes:
↳ videos and reading assignments.
↳ a “mini-mission” challenge.
↳ prompts and work canvases.

The live workshops. Not a lecture:
↳ a thinking lab.
↳ peer feedback.
↳ applied learning.

And my role?
Not the sage,
a sparring partner.

The result: better thinking and consultants who use what they learn.

I asked myself, would I rather teach or transform?
You can tell want my answer was.

If you're flipping your learning model - or thinking about it - I'd love to hear how.
